Disabled Access High Ropes Courses
We are currently designing a range of High Ropes Courses and Adventure Constructions which cater to the needs of participants with disabilities.
We have inspected a number of installations which use winches etc – we feel that these constructions offer little or no dignity to the user and specialist ramps are a better solution.
Featured in the photos on this page is a ramped access zip wire platform.
The platform conforms to the high ropes standard - EN 15567 – however does not ‘fully’ conform to current building regulations – the ramp angle is 6 degrees too steep!
This would require a ramp of some 80 meters!!
Safety is achieved by having an assistant behind the participant, if the participant is in a wheelchair then the chair can be belayed and safety ropes are installed at 3 levels alongside the ramp.
Manufactured in steel, hot dipped galvanised and painted to a colour to suit the customers requirements.

Built to Industry Standard EN 15567
After 6 years of inspecting, building and maintaining ropes courses and other adventure constructions, talking to hundreds of staff who use them and dozens of people who own them we think that the following statements superbly sums up the way forwards!
"Long after the sweetness of low cost has been forgotten the bitter taste of poor quality, poor design and lack of constructor support will remain - There is only 1 sure-fire guarantee to owning and operating a quality rope course. To have it inspected by an approved independent Type A inspector to comply with EN 15567 - and for other adventure constructions EN 12572 or EN 1176"
Rope Course Construction has ALL it’s new ropes courses and adventure constructions independently inspected to these standards – which is included in the price
