Jobs
Conditions of Work
We are always on the lookout for freelance Project Managers, Riggers, Plant Operators and Construction Assistants to take on sub contractor projects. Here is a summary of the conditions.
Our rates of pay are very competitive - we pay £60 - £200 per day depending on experience and project undertaken.
All accommodation and subsistence can be reimbursed.
Travelling costs to and from our build sites can be reimbursed.
Whilst on site we work 7 days a week so work days can be fitted to your timetable and commitments.
This is fun, varied and rewarding work with an opportunity to travel extensively within the UK and occasionally abroad. There is tremendous fulfilment in arriving at empty site and departing some weeks later leaving behind an adventure construction that will bring satisfaction, excitement, education and fun to those who use it.
We have never been to a site yet where we have not met interesting people and learned lots.
However with regard to the realities of the work lets 'say it' the way it is!
This is a construction job. The days are long and physically demanding, sometimes working in shorts and a t shirt, but often in muddy conditions in the cold and wet. If you are not accustomed to sub contractor construction work then this might not be for you.
Things, as in life, rarely go exactly according to plan so an open mind, coupled with a sense of humour, is essential.
Our customers expect us to behave in a professional manner at all times whilst on, or in the vicinity of, their premises, and we will expect you as a sub contractor to do the same.
We will require you to provide us with a valid and current CRB check.
Situations Vacant
We have work available most of the time - if you apply to sub contract for us, send us a copy of your CV, we will add you to a mailing list. This list is sent out on a regular basis and gives details of what's on. If your available we will agree a pay rate for the build and see you on site!
Upcoming builds include
- Cumbria - foundation placement, rigging
- Dubai - foundation placement, steel erection, rigging
- France - foundation placement, rigging

Built to Industry Standard EN 15567
After 6 years of inspecting, building and maintaining ropes courses and other adventure constructions, talking to hundreds of staff who use them and dozens of people who own them we think that the following statements superbly sums up the way forwards!
"Long after the sweetness of low cost has been forgotten the bitter taste of poor quality, poor design and lack of constructor support will remain - There is only 1 sure-fire guarantee to owning and operating a quality rope course. To have it inspected by an approved independent Type A inspector to comply with EN 15567 - and for other adventure constructions EN 12572 or EN 1176"
Rope Course Construction has ALL it’s new ropes courses and adventure constructions independently inspected to these standards – which is included in the price
